HOW TO CONSIGN
If
you have antiques, fine furnishings or accessories
that you no longer need and wish to consign with Now & Again,
it is necessary for us to receive pictures of all items
prior to our discussing any consignment opportunity.
We prefer digital pictures sent via e-mail; however
you
may also bring pictures by the shop or send them via
regular mail. Along with your pictures, please provide
your name, phone number, a description of the item, size
of the item, age, purchase price, and if known, manufacturer,
and where the item was purchased.
After
reviewing your pictures, we will contact you if we
determine that your item is something we feel we can
sell. At that time, Now & Again can give you an estimated
selling price based on factors such as demand, manufacturer,
quality, and condition. Like you, we want to get the
most money that we can for your item. All items must
be clean and in excellent shape; we do not accept items
in poor condition, broken or poorly repaired. All consignments
are subject to our final inspection and quality standards.
Now & Again retains 50% of the sale price received
and the remaining 50% will be mailed to the Consignor;
checks are mailed on the last day of the month, following
the month in which the item sold. The consignment period
is for 120 days, and all items must remain with Now & Again
for the consignment period. Now & Again makes no
guarantees that consigned items will sell.
After
30 days from the date of consignment, Now & Again
reserves the right to reduce your item by 10%; and further
reduce the price an additional 10% each subsequent 30-day
period. However, unlike other consignment shops we do
not have a set monthly reduction schedule. Reductions
are made at the sole discretion of the owner. Interior
designers and dealers who have a sale tax license shall
be entitled to a 10% discount during the first 30 days
of the consignment period. In the event that an item
has not sold during the 120 day consignment period, it
is the responsibility of the Consignor to advise Now & Again
of their intention to pick up any unsold consigned item.
If the Consignor does not contact Now & Again
or fails to pick up the item within 5 business days, Now & Again
reserves
the right to continue to reduce the price until the item
sells. If an item has not sold within
an 8 month period from the date of consignment, Now & Again may
donate the item to charity. Now & Again donates to
several charities; a tax receipt will be mailed to the
Consignor upon
the Consignor’s request. All consigned merchandise
entrusted to Now & Again is left solely at the Consignor’s
risk without any liability, expressed or implied to Now & Again,
Inc.
